I had initially -as in, right after that video had rendered- resolved to make the switch to Premiere Pro, and after grappling with it for a while, I realized pretty quickly that getting used to new software wasn't really gonna help me get something out in a timely fashion like I'd planned, so I switched back to Vegas for one last 'hurrah' only for it to start fucking up even more on me.

After a few days of this, I took a break to focus more on stuff around the house, and finally came back with the bright idea to instead try to stick with Vegas, but upgrading from 19 to 21. Success! Mostly. There's still a few little sticking points, and some tweaks I need to make to get back to my usual workflow bits and pieces. I might still try and get myself up to snuff on Premiere in some sense, or maybe even try to give something else a shot. I dabbled with Filmora Pro a while back, but I couldn't really get a groove with it. I don't wanna spend too much time experimenting, lest I fail to actually put anything out, but I also don't want to scrabble around with something that likes to fight me when I really need it not to, either. Sunk cost fallacy and all that.
